ok so i have almost 5k on credit card. currently interest free but wont stay that way.

2300 overdraft
1000 joint account overdraft.

am getting 5k inheritance and 1500 extra from work.

i don't want to be in debt. money coming in wont clear it all but whats the best way to pay this off? I pay interest on my overdraft.

Pay off the Debt with the highest interest first.

How long do you have left on interest free? Can you get another when it expires?

Usually credit cards are the most expensive way to borrow.

I agree, how long have you got left on the interest free deal? If you clear the overdrafts, and as much of the credit card as you can, are you likely to be able to clear the rest before the end of the deal? If so, clear the overdrafts. If your likely to have to pay interest on the credit cards in a few months, I'd clear that first.

Going forward, can you survive without building up more debt? Or will these build back up again?

yes i can survive without building it up again. DH earning a lot more than he used too. Also both kids in school now so outgoings substantially reduced and some debt leftover from our wedding
