I was wondering if anyone can help. Can children get a part time job - when you are claiming child tax credit for them?
I'm a single parent , work 30 hrs per week and receive child tax credit for my son, he's in his last year of further education ( he's 18). He wants to get a part time job, over christmas to help save up for when he goes to university next year ( hopefully). Does any one know if this will impact on the child tax credit - does any one have experience of this ?
Thank you in advanced for any help

No it won't impact on child tax credits. As long as your ds is in full time education his earnings are irrelevant.
