Pro rata help

Just started a new job and it's term time 25 a week and just over 16 grand a year paid pro rata. They did in the interview tell me how many weeks it would be I think it was 42 and this goes up the longer you work with them.

Can anyone help me work out how much money this will work out to every month please.

Will I get paid the percent of 42 out of 52 and will it again be less due to it only being 25 hours a week? It's really confusing!

Roughly £8615 based on 16,000. Hourly wage around £8.20.

lampshady · 20/10/2015 20:00

That's a year btw, £7.18 a month net. Ish.

lampshady · 20/10/2015 20:01

Oh, that's yearly. Around £718 a month gross.

Ha! Sorry, I thought I'd written my post in between that was wrong. Sorry. Now I look like I'm spamming your thread.

To confirm, based on 16k, is 8.20 p/h, £718 p/mth and £8615 per annum, all gross.

It's 16000 pro rata to hours worked.

No it's term time only, but you get 5.6 weeks holiday. So 44.6 weeks per year.

£16000 per year x (44.6/52.143) weeks × (25/37.5) hours = £9123.63 pa or £763 gross per calendar month.
