A number of weeks ago I received a letter from Pro Search asking me to confirm my details as apparently there were some unpaid share dividends which had accumulated as the company had "lost" me. I sent off the form, having checked they were genuine, and today received a cheque. However they have deducted a 10% fee plus vat from the amount due to me 
. I don't recall anything explicitly mentioned about their fee and surely it is the company trustees who employed them not me, but suspect there may have been something in the small print. On one hand I have a bit of a bonus but feel a bit duped. How could I have accessed the outstanding amount otherwise?
