Basic Bank Account?

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions of bank accounts that don't require credit checks?

I'm not dodgy I promise! My current account and business account are with the same provider and I could do with just a basic account with someone else for everyday banking.

My credit rating is in the shit thanks to my silly uni spending (a billion years ago...) and my business liabilities :(

Royal Bank of Scotland and Natwest do basic accounts. They don't have overdraft facilities though. Might be worth looking at?

Barclays do one. You need to be clear that you only want the basic one so they don't credit check you for the all singing all dancing one (they will still do an ID check). Co-op do one called a Cashminder account too.

Barclays do a cash card account. No credit checks needed. I use mine just for bills. It has no overdraft , cheque book etc
