Ebay Problems

Hey All!

I bid on a corset on ebay which I successfully won. Recieved the item today and its completely different - its a mock corset top in crushed velvet - totally NOT what i'm after. I emailed the seller saying

"Recieved this item through the post today, but it is completely different to both the picture and the description. The description states "Corset which is finished with fabulous double corset style lace up fastening at the front and single at the reverse. Gently Boned" but what I have recieved is a crushed velvet corset style top with only one set of purple and ribbon down the front, no lace up back and no boning.
I would like my money back please, as the item recieved is not the item I wanted."

But her policy states:

"RETURNS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED if there is a fault with your item that was not mentioned in the auction details or the measurements given are incorrect...
I WILL NOT REFUND because an item doesn't fit or if it is not what you imagined...
If you have any questions about this policy then please get in touch BEFORE bidding...

Does this sound like i'm gonna struggle to get my money back?

Possibly, but only because she's being difficult. It's not a question of the item not being what you imagined. It's not what she described.

If she won't refund, raise a complaint with Ebay.

Of course, it might just be a simple error. That she had more than one item and she sent you the wrong one. Have you checked under her seller ID to see if she has other items for sale?

She's replied and said she's send the wrong item and if I send back the one I have, she will send the right one, which I am happy with. She does have other items for sale, but not like I have recieved.

Anyway something's being sorted so we shall see - I panicked for nothing!
