Hi, can I ask for some advice on applying for my maternity allowance. I have a paye job of <10 hours a week as I went part time at a very low level after having children to keep my hand in but since March this year I have been self employed. Do you know if they take income from both jobs into account when determining the amount of MA I will receive? As the paye job earns less than the MA threshold on its own. Secondly I was on sick leave from the paye job for quite a while before going onto enforced maternity leave at 36 weeks, this was for a pregnancy related reason. I was not eligible for statutory sick pay during this time. I did however continue my self employed activities as these are desk/house bound so my condition didn't affect this. Is it ok to state that I was still working up until my maternity leave date (which I was). Thanks for your advice!
