Hi, has anyone successfully claimed back PPI from Britannia? We've had our mortgage with them for the past 15 years & if we are due compensation I'm sure it'd be a large amount. TYIA

Are you sure you have PPI, its not generally sold on mortgages?

And if you do have it, why do you think it was mis-sold?

We had it on our Skipton mortgage and thought we'd get loads but they've just refused our claim saying we accepted it and they would have paid out if we claimed so therefore it wasn't mis-sold.I thought we'd get it back anyway but it's the actual miss-selling bit that's the key.

I think the big banks were paying out everyone because they had such huge budgets for it.the smaller building societies spend more time looking for reasons not to pay. We even went through the ombudsman and they sided with the building society.
