Have name changed in case any of the family come on and see this - Don't want them knowing other name. My DD is buying a year old car on finance so want her to have GAP insurance
Basically had anyone got any recommendations. I have been looking on the internet and total loss gap insurance looks good as there I haven't had to put in a claim limit and haven't had to decide whether want return to invoice or replacement. The policy is about £15 cheaper than others. Do you think it is too good to be true.
My other question is that she is paying for the car over 5 years. My DH says to have this insurance for 3 years as she probably will probably want to change it before 5 years. When I said she can transfer the policy to a new car his response is she might not have a car worth that much. Should I be looking at 5 years? The quotes goes from £69 for 3 years to £159 which seems to be on a par cost wise with the other firms) for 5 years but I would feel more comfortable with the 5 years.
Hope someone can help
