Energy costs?

Hello! I posted this on my local chat but there's not enough traffic there. Hoping to a better response here so here goes:
Moving to the UK after nine years abroad, to the South East. I have very little idea how much to budget for living expenses for a young family. After a lot of chats with friends/family (none of whom have young children) I have come up with the following monthly budget for a family of four (2 children):
Groceries: 500
Energy costs: 250 (with the washing machine running every other day and the dishwasher up to twice daily, 4 showers daily)
Car: 500
Does this sound reasonable? Or am I way off?

I think avg UK annual bill for lekki+gas is below 1200, so you can go down on the energy. your young children both shower daily?

We are a family of 6 and only run the dishwasher once a day, only if everyone is home.
500 on the car including repayment might be right, lot of variables on that one!

Thanks for taking the time to reply YeOldeTrout.
Yes, my mud magnets need a shower everyday.
As for the car and groceries, I understand that this is quite variable. I am planning for a family hatchback, something like a Golf.
Just aiming to get the best possible estimate as I don't want any massively nasty surprises!
