Maternity pay question

Overtiredbackagain · 24/07/2015 11:02

My company provide advanced maternity pay, stating 12 weeks full pay, then SMP.

My wages are all over the place and they say they calculated 90% of my average weekly wages and pay me that for the 12 weeks - how is that 12 weeks full pay?!

Any advice appreciated - thanks in advance

My company do the same - you get 12 weeks pay (approx 3 months) at 90% of your usual salary, then SMP for the remaining period (approx another 6 months). Then nothing.

You need to check with payroll though as 90% obviously isn't the full pay they have stated (in their policy).

My company use a payroll company, I have asked them to clarify the position. The wording in my company policy for the advanced maternity pay clearly states full pay, not 90%
