Self employed and budgeting

My DP is self employed and says he can't budget because of this. Any one got a spreadsheet set up already for this type of thing. Or anyway that you self employed people budget. TIA

I am a freelancer and I pay all my earnings into a savings account linked to my bank account and then pay myself a set 'salary' at the end of the month. hth.

Same I average my earnings and just take my average post tax and let the rest build up. You may have to guesstimate f I rest year but you can work out average over last three months and use that.
