Advice on NI credits

Hello

I'm usually reasonably good with this kind of thing, but I've really let this slide. I was on maternity leave for a year from about June 2013 - June 2014. Then I've been working 70% hours and I'm due to go on maternity leave again shortly.

First, do people know how I apply to get my NI credits this time round? And if I can apply for them backdated for last year of maternity leave?

Finally, should I be applying for any for the 2 days I am caring for my son?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

If you get child benefit then you already get NI credits. link

Thanks, but I don't get CB. Apparently I need to write to HMRC to request them, but I get 6 months full maternity pay so I'm not clear whether I'd have met the min payments anyway for a qualifying year. I think I need to check my record for qualifying years.

Ah. The link I gave you has an online form you can fill.
