Retained credit -question

We're in the process of renewing our mortgage and have had a call re retained credit at our respective previous addresses. DH is easily explained but I don't have any outstanding credit registered anywhere. I have changed all my back accounts to our current address and don't have any outstanding loans. I currently only have 1 credit card that is used for emergencies and is clear.
The mortgage company would not give me any details about the source of this credit and I'm now a bit worried. There was no mention of retained credit when I applied for the current mortgage!
How will I go about finding out about the retained credit? Should I be feeling as worried as I do? Typically this phone call has happened at 4.30 on a Friday when I can't do anything to get any answers!

You can check your credit file on noddle for free. No sign up or need to cancel after a month etc like experian or equifax.
