maternity allowance??

wondering if anyone can help...after applying for maternity allowance in april i finally got a phone call last week and a letter on Saturday statingmy backpay amount from may 3rd till june 9th then my amount every 2 weeks from 10th june...letter dated 11th june...anyone know if you get back pay seperate to your first proper payment? Or when i can expect a payment??

Mine came through separately, the backpay came a few days after the letter then said you will then be paid on x date and every 4 weeks going forward from this date or words to that effect (my payment frequency, yours might be different)
