Hi just wondering if anyone has renewed yet and how long it took to finalise? I've just renewed this week and am very impatient Wink

I've not even received mine yet! Do you know when i should ring them

Tealady1983 · 15/05/2015 06:01

Well you've got till July to renew so am guessing it's on the way somewhere between now and then. I'd ring end of June but as I say I'm very impatient Wink

Tea lady have your payments stopped till its finalised or do they carry on then get amended once the new reward is given?

Only asking as mine were stopped last year but I did renew the ladt week of July Blushso maybe it was just because I was going over the deadline

Tealady1983 · 15/05/2015 20:13

No payments have always continued for me. Did you have a lot of changes in Your circumstances at the time or maybe is was cos it was close to deadline. X

I've been claiming since Jan.
Do I have to reapply?

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 15/05/2015 20:20

I haven't received anything but my payment has randomly changed this week - last year they worked it out based on tax figures from HMRC & we just had to check and confirm the figures were right. I assumed the new payment meant they had done the same this year.

Imnotaslimjim · 15/05/2015 20:21

If I remember from last year, it took about 2 weeks to see a change in payments but about 6 weeks for the paperwork to come through

ChickenSoupChef · 17/05/2015 17:12

I did mine online last Monday, they've dropped our weekly money by a good chunk so hoping it gets sorted quickly

kiwiyoghurt · 17/05/2015 17:17

I've only just received my form, although it was dated the end of April. Tried to renew online but it was a headache getting the ID check done, couldn't do it in the end as I needed a driving licence even though it said you just need a passport. So I have done it the old fashioned way with a biro and am sending it tomorrow.

cakeybakeymakey · 23/05/2015 23:00

Kiwi - I actually failed my own ID check. I have a passport, driving licence and have been in the same house for 15 years. It is mind boggling frankly.

So, I am another one who is doing it the old-fashioned way.

thatstoast · 23/05/2015 23:03

I did mine online and about a week later got two letters. One saying they owe me 40p and one saying I owe them £80. I'm working on the basis that they owe me 40p!

MirandaWest · 23/05/2015 23:04

Does anyone know if you've stopped your claim whether you still
get something as you'd need to confirm the figures for last year I guess. Although not sure quite how to work out my earnings as I stopped claiming part way through the tax year.

howabout · 24/05/2015 07:13

I just got my renewal.

MirandaWest my understanding is that you do still need to fill in the paperwork. The new guide enclosed with the form has lots of online references which I am finding better than previous years at explaining issues like partial year claims.

The new computer links to the tax PAYE records and so come May for the last 2 years our payments have been unilaterally adjusted with no notification. This is a real pain for us as PAYE is only half our financial record.
I do not use the telephone or online as years of experience have taught me the only way to be clear about what has been communicated and to avoid endless adjustments and paperwork is to do it in writing.

I still haven't received my renewal form and my payments have halved Confused

icedtea · 05/06/2015 08:32

I also have not received my renewal form. What I have received is a notice for repayment for a past overpayment demanding that I repay by 7 July. This is despite being previously informed that the overpayment would be made by reducing my present and future tax credits.

To complicate things further, my date of birth seems to have been entered wrong on their system so I fail their ID checks when trying to contact them.

All in all, I am very frustrated.
