Provident / Payday loan advice

Has anyone ever used provident? I have had bad credit in the past, which is settled now but I cannot now get any help, and I am in dire straits until my next money is in. I am getting refused for payday loans as well, who I thought would lend to anyone! It seems Provident is my last resort, is it above board, are they loan sharks, is it quick? I need some money today really for meals at the weekend. Many thanks in advance.

Can you get a refferal to a food bank instead? I doubt you'd get the money from Provident today or even pass their checks if payday loans are turning you down. If you borrow £100 from provident you will be paying back £150 so you're better off with the food bank refferal. If you have any food in at all feel free to post it and I'll try and suggest meals it just seems you're in a tough spot that you can't afford to get tougher.

It is a bit late in the day for that, I have shoved it all under the carpet this week in the hope that 'something would come up' stupidly. Foodbank open tuesday & thursdays only here. Thank you anyway :) I'm sure we will get by.
