Hi, if someone wanted to remortgage the house or take a loan etc against the house would the other party be notified. Would both people be required to give permission? If one party had moved out could they have the details sent to another address? Thanks

All owners would normally have to signs security to get loan funds secured on the house You should be able to check the Land register to check if anything has been lodged and I would recommend that if you are concerned there has been fraud or other trickery

Thank you, I don't suspect anything as yet but my husband has moved out and looks to be permanent. We are going to have to keep a joint mortgage, my concern is that he may take out a loan or something in the future.
