My Barclays account is £318 over drawn, my agreed over draft is £250. Now u may not think thats much but i don't use the account, nor can i afford to pay it off within the 4 days they have given me, its their charges that are pushing me over.

I haven't yet been charged but am writing to them requesting that they suspend my account and i will set up a standing order from DPs account to pay off ALL i owe until the balance is £0. Is there anything specific that i need to put? Am i being unrealistic in asking them to do that?

I always phone my bank if I have any problems. We've banked there for AGES, and have a good relationship with them. And by that I don't mean we always have loads of money. Quite the contrary. If you write, more time will pass and the charges will increase. I really would phone or go in and talk to someone.
