Looking for help please, me and my partner are splitting up he currently still lives with me and our daughter as he's got to save the money to move,we are currently receiving the full amount of housing benefit towards our rent and I'm worried when he leaves the amount will drop and I won't be able to afford the property I'm in, I'm also or was his carer so all benefits are in his name apart from child tax credit and child benefit which are in mine and total to about £80 per week I don't even know what help I can get when he does go as I've tried researching myself online and tried doing the benefits calculator but because my circumstances haven't changed yet on paper it doesn't give me a reliable amount, if there are any single parents with 1 child out there who think they can help me get a rough idea on what my income will be like once he's gone just I'm stressing like crazy and really don't know what to do, thanks

I'm a single parent with one child and was recently on benefits.
I got full housing benefit which is £91 per week. Full council tax benefit so i didn't have to pay any council tax. Both these benefits depend on where you live and your bedroom allowance.
Depending on the age of your daughter you will get income support (if she is under 5) or jobseekers allowance (if she is over 5). That will be about £70 per week.
Child benefit is about £20 per week.
If she is in school you will get free school meals.
Tax credits are about £60 per week for one child.
You should get child support from your ex but i wouldn't rely on it. If he is on benefits then you will only get £5 per week anyway.

Good luck
