Does anyone know where I can find a draft of the letter you can write to the high street banks claming back excessive bank charges over the last few years? I have been on the Which website but could not find out how to compose the letter. Also, once you have written to your bank requesting your bank charges back, do they close your account?

I've found this the most useful website.

Go onto the consumer action group website. You will find all the letter templates and fabulous support also.If you read back on mumsnet legal and money matters there is another thread (quite recent ) with over 400 replies-thats good too.
