I contacted HMRC last week to inform them that my DD is starting nursery this week. I was told that no changes could be made to my existing claim as a letter from concentrix had been sent out to me in early February. I had not received anything and hadn't heard of concentrix until it was mentioned during that phone call.
I contacted concentrix straight away explaining what I had been told by HMRC. Apparently this so called letter had been sent out to me but had been returned! I can guarantee if I had received such a letter I would have dealt with it promptly and certainly wouldn't have returned it! The letter was re sent to me and I have only just received this today, despite it being re sent Tuesday last week. In the meantime I contacted concentrix again to see if I could find out what I needed to do next as the previous person wouldn't tell me. During the second call I was told I had to provide I letter of confirmation from the nursery my son attends, this had to include the nurseries reg number. I also had to provide invoices from last April to date. This was all sent off last Friday by recorded delivery.
Today I contacted concentrix again to find out what happens next. I was told my documents will be scanned and looked at and couldn't be given an estimation of when I should hear back.
So in the meantime my DD and DS are both in nursery 3 days per week and I don't even know if I can afford for them to be there. I do not have any relatives or friends to help out with childcare so I'm stuck here wondering what the hell is going to happen or when I will hear back.
I was wondering if anyone else has been asked to provide evidence for childcare from concentrix and how long it roughly took to sort out?
