Has anyone here used Which? wills

I need to get a new will written and am thinking of using Which? as they seem quite cheap but I trust them.

This is quite urgent as I separated from partner last year and as things stand he would inherit under my existing will, but I want to leave everything to our children (currently under 18).

The only other issue is that as I live in London the value of my house is well over the inheritance tax threshold, but I don't have much in the way of other assets and minimal life insurance. I'm thinking about taking out life insurance to cover the inheritance tax.

Does anyone have any experience or expertise to share?

I used a tame solicitor who charged me £175.
She knew which questions to ask.

Thanks for your reply TalkinPeace.

That seems a good price for a solicitor. I'm a bit off solicitors at the moment, having just used one for conveyancing I wasn't impressed. I only need a simple document I think.

I used Which Legal for housing issues and Which financial advice for mortgage advice and was really, really impressed by the support from their solicitor/finance team. Experienced, pragmatic, supportive. I know the Wills bit is a separate bit, - and I've recently had bad experience with other solicitors too (divorce) but I mentally thought when I wanted to do my will (soon) I'd go back to which.

Mumsnetter Mumblechum did mine and was great! She's got an ad on the small bigness board.
