NC for this for some reason.

Having a rubbish day! I'm seriously depressed about this & want to rant.

On Wednesday I made an order & 'paid' by paypal, thinking I had added my credit card to the payment rather than my debit card.

Today I saw that the money has come out of my account through the debit card on my paypal account & I didn't have the funds to cover it.

I have now gone over my overdraft, will be charged & have no cash at all for the last day of half term. So upset.

Paypal said they can't help & they probably can't but Ocado say they can't but I know they CAN. I feel powerless just from making a little mistake. It's not like I wanted anything for free! I would have paid it that minute with my cc.

It gets worse because I can't ask my husband to add the extra money to my account because I should have money left & I haven't.

AND the calls to Ocado & Paypal were 0845 & 0800 so they have probably charged me a fortune.

The poor get poorer.

Can you not just cancel the order?

If you're having to use your credit card to buy the food shopping then I hope you will see this as a wake-up call that you need to overhaul your finances!

If it's the first time you'll have incurred charges then call your bank, they may be willing to waive the fees for you.

Yes obviously I need a finances overhaul but it doesn't help when companies are so inflexible once they have your money!

I had received the groceries that day so couldn't cancel it.

I did tell my husband & he transferred the money to cover it, will call the bank.

0800 is a free number from a landline.

if you must use a mobile, use saynoto0870.com to look up the geographic number.

I agree - time for a financial overhaul!

I always buy everything on my credit card ..... even milk
and at times there is no money in my current account
deliberate ploy though Smile
