Parking fines

Hi

I have read on here before that you do not have to pay a parking fine if issued by a private company. What is the procedure to do this please?

My dad is a taxi driver and parked in a disabled bay while he helped a lady into a shop and got a parking fine for £100 off a company called UKCPS.

Ay advice on how I appeal this would be greatly appreciated.

Tia

You need to go onto the Martin Lewis website. All the information you need is there.

We need to get the word 'fine' out of our vocabulary when dealing with these cowboys. Only the police or the council have the authority to issue a parking fine.
