Hi,

I have just moved out of my mortgaged property into a rental a 6month tenancy to start with. I need to get broadband. Previously I had virgin for tv phone broadband but at £45 a month cannot afford it. Was wondering can I have broadband without a phone line? Do you have to sign up for 12 months? Anyone know any good deals at the moment?

You need a phone line to get broadband. Perhaps look at buying a dongle?

Some mobile phone contracts allow you to use your phone data as a "hotspot". I've never used mine as such so can't really give any advice on it but might be worth looking into.

It depends on your area. We're in a cable area so can have broadband without a phone. Most non-City areas don't have this possibility.
