Am getting flummoxed looking through comparison websites. DH and I need an ISA each, not run by RBS. We have the maximum to put in each one. Any sage advice out there?

moneysavingexpert is the best site
but all of the rates are dire

I've gone with a shares isa through iweb this year.
more stress - you have to choose your investments - but much higher return

...and much higher risk if you don't understand what you're buying or you aren't going to keep the money in for a minimum of 5 years.

The interest is so rubbish on them at the moment I just have mine in my normal bank as it's easy to transfer into it and get it out if I want.

We've been looking at the nsi one www.nsandi.com/direct-isa

Have you got another isa to transfer in as that one doesn't accept transfers?

MegCleary · 02/02/2015 16:29

Ah, then definitely stick with cash and have a look at Moneysavingexperts suggestions

I recently went with Newcaste Building Society - 3%, I think - but tied up for 5 years. Referenced on Martin's money thing. Lovely customer service.
