Forgotten Self Assessment password

Please don't laugh at me as I think I know the answer but I want to double check before I am locked out forever. Blush

My self assessment password is automatically saved on my computer and I have just completed the form but it is asking me to verify the password before it can be submitted. I have no idea what this password is.

I have my user ID but when I clicked on forgotten password it states that I need to know my government online email address to receive a new password by email. Is this my usual email address? HMRC have emailed me a reminder so I must have provided it in the past. It also states my current password will become invalid immediately so I am wary to jump in and ask for a reset.

It also states I need details for each service I am enrolled for, I think it is just self assessment but not sure about National Insurance.

Your email is the same one they sent the reminder to!
I was in nearly the same position this morning - but had to get username mailed, I had password.
Click the option to resend password, enter username, NI number, the email you received the reminder at... and bob's your uncle :)

Thanks Cabrinha, I have just submitted my return although it took ages for the new password email to arrive so I was starting to get a bit worried.

Next year we'll do it before the last working day.
Won't we?
