Kidstrack · 16/10/2006 12:11

god magyymay its awful something you really don't need especially as it buys the christmas presents, well done for reassuring your ds, are you going to be able to manage buying all the presents without the vouchers?

maggymay · 16/10/2006 12:16

agalch · 16/10/2006 14:40

Hiya,i'm in the same boat as you maggymay.

I knew i'd be on maternity leave now so paid for 700 quids worth of vouchers.

I have kids aged 15 yrs 11 yrs 2 yrs and 11 weeks.
My 2 little girls are too young to understand what they are missing out on but it broke my heart to tell my boys not to expect any big pressies this year.

Really feel for you maggy losing so much money

12yeargap · 16/10/2006 15:55

This is really unspeakable, I feel so much for people who have used this company. That's the reward they've got for careful financial planning, thinking ahead and not just flinging it on the credit cards...I wonder to what extent the company kept taking the money when it became clear that they wouldn't be paying out? Most people using the service will be on a tight budget, and have kids, FFS, So the last people who can afford to lose out. I don't personally know anyone affected, but my blood is boiling about this.

joelallie · 16/10/2006 17:47

It sounds from R4 just now that there might be some small dividend left for the customers after the 'preferred' creditors have been paid. What seems so unfair is that the customers appear to be the last people to get any money back. Why are customers less deserving than 'preferred' suppliers?

So sorry for the people who've been affected

muminamini · 16/10/2006 19:54

Hi there

I started a thread about this and didn't see there was one already so thanks to zippytoes for letting me know.

I feel for you too Maggymay and all the others affected. I found out about an hour ago that the £300 I have saved all year has effectivley disappeared.

It is my first sons 2nd Christmas, the first one where he will know what is going on and as I only work part time and money is tight I was really pleased with myself that I had managed to put away £30 each month (a lot of money for me and I am crap at saving).

To say I am devastated is not the word. I know that somehow I will manage but I do really worry for others who may find it more of a struggle than me.

I cannot believe that this can happen in this day and age. How can a company just take your money and say - oh sorry your getting nothing back?? My blood is boiling, I also feel sorry for my friend who is the agent as she not only has her personal loss but has to tell and deal with the anger and frustration of all of her customers (many who are collegues and friends).

I hope we do eventually manage to get something but from reading the website I think I can kiss goodbye to my money for Christmas this year.
