i do like to have a rummage around there. i wont buy dented tins. but i do buy shampoo which has been dented, or seems a bit sticky on the bottle, as long as its not leaking its fine. i buy boxes of stuff like cereals, but only if outer packaging is torn, wont touch if liner is open. laundry powder, toilet roll etc.

is there anything you wouldnt touch? btw dh used tio do all the reducing stuff at safeway, so he gives me tips n what not to buy.

I'll buy anything if by any slim chance there is actually anything I need in there

ours usually comprises bottles of dog shampoo and tracey beaker stickers

I like to root about in the reduced chiller, and I buy fish, meat, and posh cheeses.

I am not absolutely fanatical about dates, only for chicken and pork. So I love the reduced chiller. You can pick up suck bargains!

I buy fruit as we eat loads and it's usually just ripe, not going bad.

Fruit and veg, Morrisons sometimes reduces theirs to 10p items!
meat in the chilled section to put in the freezer

BATtymumma · 07/10/2006 18:52

ooh i love the reduced counters! i buy anything except dairy.
i think they can reduce it and sell it on the last day but not past the date?
so most things are fine if you chuck them straight in the freezer

SpookyMadMummy · 07/10/2006 19:44

Anything that can be frozen and will be eaten!!! Have never bought a dented tin but did oonce get some andrex with a roll missing cheaper....

flack · 07/10/2006 19:46

DH always picks up bargain price organic milk. It's like he's charmed, because I never find any. We get through 4 pints a day, so dates rarely an issue.

I buy most of my meat from the reduced section and then portion it up and put it in the frezzer - it saves me a bit of money.

Also look in chilled reduced section and see if anything interesting and plan meals and rest of shopping around it.

nutcracker · 08/10/2006 12:31
