How much is BR tax?

Hi

Im working a second job so need to pay basic rate tax on this second income. Anyone any idea how much this is? Am I right to think it's 20% of total I earn plus NI? So 20% tax with no tax free allowance?

You can ask the tax office to split your tax free allowance between 2 employers if that helps?

I did a few years ago when I had 2 jobs but my combined income was still under the tax threshold - otherwise I would've ended up paying tax on the 2nd job even though my overall income was under 10k.
