Another Ebay question

I'm really mad as I've just found out that the seller of an item I had a bid on has just ended the listing early, with no explanation.
It only had 1 day left before ending and my bid has just been cancelled. I've had no email from the seller apologising, all the listing says is that there was an error in the listing.
Can they do this? I've got a feeling that they forgot to put a reserve on or something as the item was quite large but with a low bid.

yes they can do this.

they may have had a private offer for the item.

You're joking
I thought they had to state in the description that they might be selling it elsewhere and had the right to end the listing early?

doesnt mean it right tho. it could be an error in the listing, they h may have forgotton to put a reserve on. you could aski them a question about it,

but in my mind, its their item, so upto them if the pull the auction early.
