I cancelled my home insurance with them last week because I found it much cheaper somewhere else. Today I have received two letters from them: one omfirming that I have cancelled the policy and the other thanking me for renewing.

I'm trying to ring them to confirm the cancellation and have now been holding, listening to Frank Sinatra, for 1 hour, 4 minutes and 54 seconds!

And if they tell me once more how valuable my call is to them I will throw my new digital phone that tells me just how long I've been waiting through the bleeding window!

I hate call centres.

write them a letter and then just cancel the direct debit. in fact just cancel the direct debit, or phone the bank if you pay by credit card. they'll soon sort it out then.

This is ridiculous. 1 hour 15 minutes now. Why do I feel unable to hang up?! Wish I'd hung up ages ago. Am convinced they're about to answer... and then they don't!

I've written a stinging letter of complaint and hung up (unanswered) at 1 hour 29 minutes! Can you effing believe it! and [furious]
