Universal credit

grumpychops1 · 21/08/2014 10:53

Ive just been on the entitled 2 website and put in all my details. DP and I wont be entitled to anything with my 3 children under the usual tax credits system but it said I would be under the universal credit system. Ive tried to find out out how but it just gives me a lot of info on if I claim benefits, which I dont, we both work.
Can anyone give me a clue as to how it works?
Thanks

Don't think Universal Credit has been rolled out nationally yet, thus not a lot of info.

Try looking for info on universal credit trial, may pick up something about eligibility criteria.

There is a new childcare scheme to replace Childcare Vouchers. The Tax-Free Childcare Scheme starts rollout from Sept 2015. That may be useful as it is up to £2000 per child (until September following 11th birthday).

Ive just tried to apply online (cant hurt to try), not in my area yet despit it saying it is. I tried another area and then because I have a mortgaged house it wouldnt let me continue! Cant win these days eh.
Thanks for the child care info, I'll defo look into that.
