When we registered dd 7 years ago we did it in DHs name cannot remember why, but does that affect my pension in the future?

Child benefit has no link to pension. They are two completely different things. CB isn't an income, it's a benefit.

Yes, it can impact on your pension if you are not paying national insurance contributions or being credited with them in some other way and your child is under 12.

If you get CB and your child is under 12, you are credited with national insurance contributions towards your state pension.

Thanks I rang them and as I work I am covered but if I did leave it may be worth transferring to my name. Bless she did seem horrified at the thought of changing the name on the claim. It would be weeks without benefit being paid etc

Middle totally untrue you receive pension credits if you are received CB for a child under twelve.
