I started a new job at the end of Feb and estimate my earnings at around 14k this year, they were less than 7k last year. I'm a LP and get the disability bit, as does ds, and I work more than 40 hours a week. I called to do the annual review last week and they have reduced my payments by £420 a month Confused. Entitled to and the tax credits calculator are getting confused and are both telling me different figures (even when I factor in the remaining weeks of the tax year). The tax credits calculator on their site is saying if I receive the right amount if I earned 19k, but I estimate 14k (which is what I told her). I don't get childcare as ds is 15. She did say they would go down so I wouldn't end up having to repay some next year, but this seems like such a lot.

I'm just Confused

Have you had the letter through showing how they have calculated the amount?

Yes, this morning. The numpties have added last year's income onto this year's, so it looks as though I'm earning thousands more than I really am. I've called them and they have corrected it.

Thank you Smile
