Hi after 10 years me and partner have decided to part ways just not getting on he however is being so horrid about it he left on Friday leaving me and our child with nothing
I have sent a text today asking is he going to help us until I'm paid from work due to be paid on the 28th so about a week just over his reply was to ignore me which is fine but I'm worried sick where can I get help
I no there's food banks but you can only use them .twice in 12 months were I live and we had to use them when partner got laid of and I wasn't due to be paid
I was due to go food shopping yesterday his wages went in his bank on Thursday night and we usually do the shopping Saturday now have no packed lunch things for tommorow and my electric is severely running out
I don't have anything worth anything to sell apart from my phone but as i don't have a landline it's my only way of school and work contacting me
Child benefit goes in his bank monthly I have just filled a form in to change bank details to mine but that's not due for 2 weeks
Any ideas ?? Thankyou xx

I no I've been told not to contact him myself as I was getting ready to go to his mothers .police asked for an address so unsure whether they will deal with him first then me .just screen shotted my statements so they can see where the money's gone as it says an account number so they will be able to get his name from that .im sat here in absolute shock fair enough take from me but my son I have uniform and allsorts to buy and we was meant to be going out tommorow to the cinema and doing bits in the holidays I feel sick with it .hope the police can get it back xx

Press charges, don't wimp out and go for him to be cautioned.

We did that and I've always regretted it.

Sadmummy123 · 02/08/2014 13:25

Still waiting for the police
Just rang them back and they said there busy but will be here today oh yes I want him arrested and charged it's disgusting I don't understand how he could do this to his child .just rang the bank to see if they can help just put a little back in my account but they won't so now I've nothing
They have marked it as fraud he said the police will contact the bank once it's proved it's stolen but it could take 2 weeks is that right if it's proved it will take 2 weeks or more to go back in my account very confused

Police have just been he's been arrested and released pending further enquirys !! They said it's down to the bank to give me my money do rung them they've started an investigation but can't tell me when it will be sorted or when I can have my money back in definately won't be getting it over the weekend though
I could cry we was due to go on a picnic tommorow weather permitting now I've nothing in for it
Bank and police are flaming useless
I'm still not allowed to contact him but the police did say he didn't have the money on him so he's either got it in his bank or spent it .seems so unfair

Oh my goodness OP, that is awful! He took your wages?? Wow. What kind of father leaves their child and his mother in that situation?

Can the bank give you a temporary overdraft? Or, can you try the food bank again - perhaps the police could refer you given the circumstances? Or, like another suggested, try a local church.

Hope things work out x

ihatethecold · 02/08/2014 16:29

What a complete dickhead.
Did he steal your log in details?
What sort of person does that?

Sadmummy123 · 02/08/2014 16:30

He's a disgrace the most selfish person I've ever met
The bank won't give me a overdraft but told me to talk to the customer support unit based at the bank on Monday .ive used a food bank before and they only let us use them twice in 12 months by me .im sure it will sort out just going to be a long weekend can't really do anything until Monday

I was unaware he knew them I have a customer number and a password I never thought to change them after he left but I should have known he would have them being the bullying control freak he is .i don't get the mentality of it .the police should have forced him to give the money bank I don't doubt for a second that he will have it in his bank yes it's my wages well the majority of it I got paid the 28th paid a few bills and just took out £30 to get bits and electric to last until today until I went for a big shop glad I got electricity when I did tho
It's crazy

The banks now agreed to put a £25 overdraft on my account after lots of phoning up in the end I threatened to go to the papers and close my account with them I've been a customer since I was 16
Glad they've helped though
