dropped my iron onto my bedroom carpet by accident. Attempted to pull the bed over the spot but its still visible.
Did this about 12 months ago.
Rang up insurance and they cant do any thing as it was more than 30odd days ago...blah!
I didnt know this did i FFS.
Ive never ever claimed any thing.

That'll teach you to be honest! If you know anyone reasonably handy, maybe they could cut an iron shaped bit out of the carpet from a bit under the furniture, cut out the burnt bit & replace it??I guess that might work if it was quite a deep pile...

You and me then Donbean. I've done this twice on my lounge carpet. I didn't even think about claiming because it's such an old bit of carpet that we've thrown down while we renovate.

buy a rug, small ones only a tenner

If its not too big a spot, 'shave' bits off another bit of the carpet, ie under the bed and kinda stick it down with superglue.
I did this in my mothers house after inflicting a large fag burn on her carpet. She didnt notice and it lasted for about 2 years !!
