Name change - baby

Has anyone had any experience of changing your baby's name?

When we got DD birth certificate done we did not add in her Chinese name. Now I want to have an official document with this on, so wanted to use it on her passport.

But they will only use it if we got a deed poll cert. Worried that if we do this and do not change her birth certificate that it will cause DD hassle in the future e.g. she'll also need to provide 2 pieces of evidence to prove her name.

We changed our name by deed poll and now that is the only legal documentation you have to give, makes the wedding certificate invalid so to speak

If she's under a year old in Scotland you can legally have birth certificate changed. Don't know if that helps you.
