Worried, hoping for others experience here...
We are remortgaging - and asking to borrow more to consolidate debts. London&country found us a mortgage , we passed the credit check and the lender didn't want to see much from us - just 3 months pay slip and 1 month bank statement.

Now l&c say that the lender wants more info re direct debits I have set up - this is because my bank account is overdrawn. I'm so worried now the application will get pulled because of this. Have many people had their applications rejected for this ? TIA

Hi,
In todays climate it is all about affordability and lending criteria is very strict so if a lender see's you are overdrawn they will wonder if you can afford the repayments. anyway you can pay it off?

Well it should be affordable - as we are looking to consolidate credit cards so we will be paying out less than we are. Then by the time the fixed rate comes to an end (if we do get it) I will be able to work full time so hopefully even if rates have gone up a fair bit by then we could still repay it comfortably. It's just such a worry
