Ds is 3 next month and has started going to playschool 3 mornings a week. It is only 7.5hrs overall but vaguely remember on first application something about if they were looked after by anyone else...does this still apply and will it apply to ds on only 7.5hrs?

I'm not sure, but there is a childcare element to tax credits, so you may be entitled to more. It shouldn't reduce your entitlement so you could just wait til next year and tell them when you renew if you wanted.

If you are paying and both working hten yes and you may be able to claim back some of the costs. If not (vouchers at 3 anyway?), then no, you don't.

you will only get money back if both you and your partner work, otherwise the childcare isn't seen as a necessity

I did claim it , may as well if you are entitled!
