joint mortgage going interest only or taking a break

Basically we are wanting to go interest only or take a break from our mortgage for a while.
Do we both need to go into discuss this or can I sort it in my own?

pretty sure it is both

you will both need to sign any forms to change the terms of the mortgage - it may be expensive though
and IO mortgages are now like hens' teeth
