Do you know when I need to let Tax credits know that DD will still be in education in September?

DD is 16 and in last year at school she will be staying on at sixth form and I have read somewhere I think that tax credits will stop.
Thankyou

I got a letter from Child Benefit asking what DD is doing after school, and in the letter it advised me to call Tax Credits and tell them too, which I did.

So if I ring them with my annual earnings I could tell them then.
Thanks

They asked me questions like 'since your last assessment, has your income changed?', I said 'no' and she said as DD will turn 16 before next assessment, then my payments will continue when she turns 16, and just to do my normal assessment next April. But she updated my records so payments did not stop in July on her 16th.

It was a pretty simple call, they didn't asked me too many questions at all.

DD was 16 end of 2013 and my payments have not changed, sounds pretty straight forward Smile

It was easy. Probably one of the easiest contacts I have had with TC.

Mind you, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I await July to see if the payments actually continue. Good luck
