Anyone else used the HMRC app to renew tax credits?

I use this app to work out tax etc. for overtime at work, and when working out earnings stuff to do with my job, and noticed a few weeks ago they had a new feature for renewing tax credits. You can only use it once your renewal comes through.

Just got mine today and completed it in seconds. I don't have any change of circumstances that materially affect my claim so it was really easy & straight forward to do. Saves all that hanging on the phone!

Glad to hear it is simple. We also are able to do it online. I think there is only a small percentage given the option this year as a trial. If successful they want to roll it out for next.

The other thing that's different is my earnings were on the form instead of me filling that in - it says they got that information from my employer. So they seem to be joining up the dots re what they should already know from their records.

Mine too. They get it from the RTI sent by your employer every month. One thing i didn't like was that you cannot give an estimated income for this year- mine will go up so will still have to call them grrr.
