This article here does not surprise me. More and more women now realise that if a relationship breaks down and they have children, unless their partner is honorable and is prepared to do his bit for the children, the woman will find herself plunged into a precarious financial situation.

I have a couple of saving schemes but DH knows about them but he also knows that they are off limits as they are emergency funds for extreme events. He has his own savings too so at least we are even.

I have the bulk of our savings - I'm not a taxpayer so it makes financial sense.

dh knows all about it though

Similar situation here - I have the bulk of the savings for tax reasons
Our home is also in my name only
