Tax credit renewal?

I have had tax credits for about 8 months now, I assumed that at the end of the financial year I would get a letter through the post checking details or something.... I'm fairly sure I've been over paid, but I don't want to call them if they are sending letters out and I'm just low on the list!!

The packs come out anytime between now and the end of June. I haven't had mine yet either so don't worry.

Are they as complicated as the original application forms?
Also, my dp has just changed job (starts end of this month) significant payrise to the extent im fairly sure we won't qualify for anything.. Do they base the calculations on lady year or your current circumstances? It's so confusing and I'm reluctant to phone and be on hold for half my day and have no one understand what I'm talking about!

The renewal packs are due soon. The first one I ever did took me forever but once I had done the first one the renewals only take me a few mins.

If your income for next year is going to be significantly higher it is best to let them know otherwise you will end up with an overpayment and have to pay it back.

TBH if you know your income / situation has changed it's best to call them now. They can reduce or stop the TC as soon as possible to minimise any repayments.

Our income has gone up- I have rung them even though not yet had renewal pack - they can adjust for this year 2014-15 (based on our income of the previous tax year) to minimise overpayments from April this year. Can't finalise last years award ( 2013-14) until we get the renewal pack (so not sure if we have been overpaid for last tax year yet or not) but was told that it is best to ring at the earliest opportunity to minimise further overpayments.
