Earned more this year will TC need paid back?

Last year dh and I earned around £26k but this year we have earned over £29k . Will we have to pay back all our TC ?

I'd imagine so, when you fill out your renewal they will amend any further payments to you untill they are paid back the over payment.

I thought we wouldn't be entitled to it anymore and have to pay back the whole lot ? Is that wrong?

Depending on your situation and children etc you may still be entitled. However if your no longer entitled then they will ask you how much you can afford to pay back a month and set up a direct debit. My friend owed over £700 and paid £25 a month.

Can you not earn up to 5k more than estimated and not be penalised as long as you have declared it.
