Question about my ISA

namechangepro · 23/04/2014 18:20

I have an isa and am putting in money each month. ive just checked my account & it says interest is paid in September. why is it paid then & not at the end of the tax year like my old isa? Am I going to miss out on interest?

Am I being very stupid ? Confused

Does it pay every 6mths? You would get another payment end of March, which would be the right timing for the next ISA year.

No just once. Have checked & I got interest in September. am now in 2nd year with this isa

Did you initially open it in September?

namechangepro · 23/04/2014 20:22

Nope . April 2013

no, you won't miss out. Some building societies pay out at certain times of the year.

what is the interest rate? They tend to crash after one year unless you got a fix.

THe ISA limit is £15,000 per year
that can be stocks, cash or any combination of the two and you can flow it between them as you choose

Thank you Talkin !
I thought the lady said the limit was £5,300 but I must have misunderstood
