Help with mortgage payments when on maternity leave...

Was just wondering if I will get help with my mortgage payments whilst on maternity leave? I live alone at moment (will be moving with partner next year). My maternity pay won't cover my mortgage payments let alone the other expenses. Does anyone know where I stand? Will just need help til I go back part time. Don't really want to take a payment holiday on my mortgage.

Thanks. So you do get help if your on interest only? Might have to switch for a while.

You won';t get any help at all.
But you';d only be paying the interest off, not the actual mortgage so your payments would be less

So the only answer is to switch and just pay of the interest. Ta
