Hi,
I have 3 young kids(under 6) & have lots of unwanted clutter,toys etc.Would love to go to carboot sale but very difficult as my kids so young & I have no-one I can leave them with to do boot sale & don;t think it would be good to take them as they would get bored/nightmare trying to look after them as well as sell etc.
Anyway very very occassionally I see people holding yard sale/garage sale advertised in our local paper & I'm thinking ,thats a good idea to get rid of unwantedstuff etc.& solve looking after kids problem,have yard sale/garage sale in my own garden/driveway.
The thing is does anyone know, is it perfectly legal to hold this type of thing in your own garden etc?
.Is there anything legal you need to consider before having one.?Can you have them as often as you want?etc.etc.
I know what they entail,how to go about advertising one & that kind of thing(I Think!)Just would hate to get organised & hold one only to find out I was breaking the law,if you know what I mean!(They seem to have them all time in USA,but not sure if rules different for U.K).
My apologies for the lengthiness of this message,I never have been good at condensing things!
P.s have already had a go at ebay & want to get rid of a lot of stuff in one go.Ebay takes too much time,what with photographs,listin etc.
